Hey ladies!! I have had so many fellow military wives and girlfriends email me asking for advice on what they should wear to their husbands/boyfriends ceremonies or events. So today I am going to share with you some of the dresses I wore and where I found them! Nothing is over $60! I am not one to spend a lot of money I’m sure most of you know by now.
Also sorry for the low resolution pics!
Ok first up is ROTC dining out. This one was sooo hard because my husband (boyfriend at the time) and I had only been dating for a little while so this was my first military anything! I kept asking him “So like what should I wear??? What do other girls wear??” and of course I got “Just wear whatever. Wear a dress.” Like hi ok there’s a million types of “dresses” haha. So I went on a major online search of what girls wore to this event and what I gathered was it was like cocktail dresses! This is the midi that I found from Missguided . I definitely wanted to be appropriate because this is a work event for him and I wasn’t sure if I could like even show my shoulders lol. As time went on you can learn to have more fun with dresses! Also this felt like ages ago…
Next is the Air Force Ball. This was my first ball so once again I did some investigating! This is more formal so a floor length dress is perfect. Have fun with it! I chose this bright red dress because I thought it would work so well with my husbands mess dress. I got this dress from Missguided as well! You can shop it HERE for only $57!
The next event was my husbands graduation. During the day was more casual than the evening event! So I chose to wear a cute little dress (sister kept calling it a tea party dress lol) because it was fun but still semi formal. I’d rather be overdressed than under dressed to be honest. I got so many compliments on this one as well! You can shop it HERE for only $53.95. I would say give yourself some extra time for this to ship to you or pay for express shipping so it gets to you on time if you are in a time crunch.
Alright this next dress I wore to the evening part of the graduation ceremonies! This emerald green was just calling my name! It was the perfect fit with a low back. Sadly this is no longer available on Windsor where I purchased it but there are so many other gorgeous emerald dresses available now on the site. Also there was nude mesh on the side so it gave the illusion that the sides were open but they were totally covered.
I hope this helped any of you amazing ladies who have been asking my advice on where to get some fun dresses for affordable prices! I would wear these over and over and over. They were seriously so fun and pretty. It always feels fun to dress up because it is SO rare that I get to wear stunning formal dresses like these! Let me know what you think in the comments and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any other questions!!
