Hello! I am so excited to share this post with you guys! I am working with Bombay Hair and I’m going to be talking all things extensions and the best curling iron ever! I’m going to show you how I put in my clip in extensions (so easy if you’ve never done it!) and how I style them.
The clip in extensions that I am wearing are the Ash Brown 20″ 160g Clip-ins.
What I love most about clip-ins is the convenience of being able to take them out and put them back in whenever I want! They are so easy to put in so really anyone can do it. Who doesn’t love switching up their look here and there?! These are perfect for you if you do!
The curling iron I used to make these beach waves is the 32mm Clamp Curling Iron.
I’m going to show you how I style my hair with these extensions in just a few easy steps!
Let me start by saying the extensions come with 10 wefts. My hair is naturally thin so I don’t need all 10 to make it blend and make it long and thick. I use 3 big wefts then the individual wefts closer to my face.
First you’re going to section off the bottom layer of hair and secure the rest up with a clip. You don’t want any hanging down or it will get clipped in with the other layer.
Then clip that into your hair! It helps to tease your natural hair just a little (where the clip will be) because that makes the extensions stay in tighter and not slide down.
So once you clip in that first layer you let another layer of your hair down and clip in the next weft and repeat!
Bottom layer: 2 clip weft
Middle layer: 3 clip weft
Top layer: 4 clip weft
You don’t want to put the extensions too close to the top of your head because they will show through and we all know that’s not a good look haha. That’s why I only stick with 3 wefts!
So here I am done putting in all of my big wefts! I now take the individual wefts and clip in one on each side of my head. You may need more if your hair is thick! You always want to make sure it blends.
You always want to make sure the clips are in nice and tight so I sometimes go back through and make sure none are slipping down! If they are I just tease my hair a little and re-clip it and it’s good to go!
Now for curling my hair I take my Clamp curling iron and take a piece of hair and clamp that into the iron and curl it for just a second with about 2″ out the end. I leave some hair out of the curling iron because this is what gives it the messy and beachy look! When curling my hair I alternate which way I curl. So if the first piece I curl is going away from my face I will curl the next piece towards my face. This helps it to not all just fall into one big curl. Then just repeat these steps! Once you’re done curling brush the curls out a little and run your fingers through them and you’re good to go!
Don’t they look so amazing?! The color matched PERFECTLY with my natural hair and they blend so so well! They are beyond easy to put it and style. This curling iron gave me flawless curls and it didn’t take long at all. If you’re looking for a fun change I would highly suggest getting these extensions and curling iron! You can also get extensions and have a stylist cut them to match the length of your hair if you just want to add thickness!
